Robert Hurst
Robert Hurst is the Founder and CEO of Dynamic Educational Solutions (DES). DES was born from Robert's personal experience transitioning from active duty Army, and the intrinsic struggle that so many military veterans have experienced themselves. A former Army non-commissioned officer and the former director of veterans affairs for Southern Methodist University, Robert has seen first hand that a successful transition from the military is different for each service member. "Though we go through the same process, every person's transition is unique to them and they will gauge success differently when separating from service." Robert was medically separated from service in 2016, and earned his degree in Psychology at Collin College and the University of Texas, Dallas.
Robert, his wife Melissa and their two boys, Leo and Grayson, live just east of Dallas, TX with their three dogs and cats. Although a native Tennessean, Robert considers himself a true Texan these days. "Texas is the destination for anyone interested in furthering their professional and personal growth. Everything truly is bigger in Texas, including opportunity." Robert enjoys homesteading with his wife Melissa, and coaching his children's football and soccer teams.
Chase Hurst
Chase Hurst is the Co-Founder and COO of Dynamic Educational Solutions (DES). After serving as an non-commissioned officer in both the Marine Corps and Army, Chase was medically retired in 2016. Following his service, he began his path towards higher education at Collin College, earning his degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Psychology, Counseling, and Rehabilitation/Disability Studies in 2019. While at the University of North Texas, Chase was active in the Student Veteran Association and interned with the director of student veteran affairs. This experience has given him a unique insight into the struggles faced by non-traditional students, especially those transitioning from military service. “Often the most challenging aspect of transitioning to civilian life for veterans and their families is answering the question, ‘What’s next?’ DES was formed to help these individuals be successful in forging a path towards a future that they invision.”
Chase, his wife Elizabeth, and their two children, Briggs and Alexis, live just north of Kansas City, MO with their two dogs and one cat. Born and raised in Middle Tennessee, Chase was drawn to the welcoming and down-to-Earth culture of the Midwest. In his spare time, Chase enjoys running 5ks with his family, spending time outdoors, and discovering the best BBQ Kansas City has to offer.
